Feds take down sites that replaced prostitution and child sex trafficking portal Backpage.com
CBS News, June 19, 2020. The Backpage-to-CityXGuide succession: that Wilhan Martono, 46, registered the domain names for 1backpage.com and cityxguide.com the day after the FBI seized Backpage.com in April 2018, that he ran them as the replacement venue for the same commercial-sex advertising, that prosecutors put the enterprise's revenue at more than $21 million since 2018, and that the sites were seized and Martono charged on 28 federal counts in June 2020 - covering both res_backpage_cityxguide and the takedown behind res_cityxguide_none..
